Educational Advocacy
Every family should have informed consent
Hello and welcome! My name is Angelita Gamble, and I am a dedicated and passionate educational consultant and advocate with over 15 years of experience in the education sector. With a background in teaching, curriculum development, and school leadership, I have a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that students and staff face within the education system.
Throughout my career, I have worked with schools, districts, and individual families to create tailored educational experiences and strategies that foster student success. I have teaching experience within title 1, traditional, and magnet elementary schools, and served 3 years as an elementary Administrator. I specialize in K-5 educational practices, behavior strategies, and student leadership. I value working closely with administrators, educators, and parents to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive academically and personally.
As a consultant and advocate, I am passionate about equity and access in education. I have led initiatives focused on providing experiential learning opportunities, enhancing inclusive practices, and I advocate for policy changes that benefit underserved communities. I am committed to empowering students to reach their full potential by addressing their individual needs and creating learning environments that are both supportive and challenging.
I believe in the power of collaboration and am dedicated to working alongside educators, parents, and schools to make lasting improvements in the lives of the families I serve and the education system as a whole.
What is an educational advocate?
An advocate is someone who helps students and their families navigate the educational system to ensure the student receives the appropriate support, services, and opportunities to succeed academically. They serve as a bridge between families and schools to create and implement effective educational plans.
Why would I need an advocate?
Advocates can help with understanding you and your child's educational rights. They can collaboratively review educational plans, and attend educational meetings (IEP, Evaluations, 504, FBA/BIP, etc). The goal of an advocate is to empower families through education about their rights and options within the schooling system.
